On 12th – 13th of September 2014, CECCAR Romania organized the XX-th edition of the National Congress, having as main topic “New dimensions and challenges of the accounting profession: Competitiveness, Innovation and Conformity”.
Topics of strategic interest for finance professionals were addressed in a very interactive manner: economic and technological trends, challenges of the profession, the professionals’ creativity and the dedicated European legislation (“Directive 34/2013 of the European Parliament and Council of the European Union”).
As BARIN Accounting’s managing partner and vice-president of CECCAR Romania, Anca Bogorin moderated the session called “The accounting professional’s creative role within an entity”, where she was joined by several guests from the professional elite: Mr. Ahmed Hassan – Country Managing Partner Deloitte; Mrs. Cornelia Bumbacea – Transactions Partner, PwC Romania and Mrs. Ana-Maria Dutu – Planning & Controlling Director, Unicredit Tiriac Bank.
“Creativity is not specific to arts only, but it is equally critical for the progress in sciences, mathematics, technology, politics, business, economy, management and all daily-life pursuits.”
“Modern informational technology, besides its efficiency in managing effectively high volumes of complex economic transactions, has the role of replacing the paper, probably until its disappearance. The future in accounting will be a digital one. After some time, the information and accounting news will probably be available on tablets and various applications. Recurrent transactions will be automatically registered in the accounting software, which could be integrated with the management system and therefore simply undertake the financial information generated there. The accounting professionals’ added value will greatly increase in analysis and professional judgment areas.”
