Ensuring Compliance & Reporting Standards

  • Ensuring compliance with reporting standards (local Romanian GAAP, IFRS, or group-specific).
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Preparing reports for management, investors, and authorities.
  • Consolidating financial statements for multinational groups.

Statutory (Financial) Accounting

  • Recording primary accounting documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements, payment/collection orders).
  • Maintaining purchase and sales journals.
  • Fixed asset accounting and depreciation calculation.
  • Inventory accounting (entries, exits, stock counts, adjustments).
  • Reconciling accounts (customers, suppliers, banks, petty cash, advances).
  • Preparing monthly trial balances.
  • Preparing periodic and annual financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss account, explanatory notes).

Management (Managerial) Accounting

  • Calculating costs by cost centers, products, or projects.
  • Margin and profitability analysis.
  • Budgeting and monitoring budget execution.
  • Internal reporting for management (cash flow, forecasts, KPIs).

Tax Compliance & Reporting to Authorities

  • Calculating, declaring, and paying taxes (VAT, corporate tax, micro-enterprise tax, local taxes).
  • Calculating and declaring payroll contributions and other fiscal obligations.
  • Preparing and filing periodic tax returns (e.g., D100, D101, D112, D300, D394, D406, etc. – in Romania).
  • Managing the relationship with tax authorities.

Support for Audit & Due Diligence

  • Preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborating with financial auditors, valuers, and legal advisors.
